Chef's knife, partial-tang
$420.00
This chef's knife is thin, light weight and ready to chop some vegetables.
Forged from scrap spring steel with a copper bolster and black plastic accent (the lid from a box of screws, I think). The handle is an unknown,
salvaged hardwood (mahogany perhaps?).
Like on many of my knives, the hammer and forge marks on the spine remain. I think it contrasts nicely with the polished, live-edge bevel and it helps keep food from sticking to the blade as much. I was also careful to leave the tempering colors behind, where possible, to add a degree of rust prevention and because it looks awesome in my opinion.
Blade length 8¼"
Overall length 12¼"
